Be in charge of the Bio- and Chemo-informatics platforms for Research Develop and maintain Bioinformatics research software and databases.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities: Bring prior expertise and technical solutions of building and improving state-of-the-art platforms Maintain, optimize and provide support for the Bioinformatics and Cheminformatics platforms. Develop and maintain bioinformatics software tools and applications Develop interfaces for bioinformatics databases. Work in collaboration with Research Informatics and Biomarker Discovery Bioinformatics on selected research projects. Give assistance to users of research applications and tools where appropriate. Set up quality standards according to the company rules, which includes writing documentation related to software applications and protocols

At least 3 years of experience in industry or academic institutions, in charge of a scientific informatics platform. Experience with bioinformatics software development Proficient in several programming languages (preferably including Perl, Java, PHP, C) Practical experience in database development and application interfaces Experience in system administration on Unix/Linux/Windows platforms Experience in web server administration
Strong problem-solving skills Autonomy combined with a strong team spirit Good interpersonal skills; capacity to communicate effortlessly with scientists of very different backgrounds. Adaptability to a research environment: understanding of scientific issues and their specific requirements. Good personal time management skills Strong interest and motivation for Life Sciences.
