Microsoft Dynamics AX is designed for midsize and larger companies; it is a multi language, multi currency enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. To deliver break-thru solutions to our customers, our delivery model is highly focused on the ecosystem of partners providing additional industry functionality and tailoring the system to the individual customer needs. For this to be successful we need a great platform and a great set of tools for developers and partners to be as productive as possible.
We are now looking for a proven leader to drive development of Developer and Partner Tools for Microsoft Dynamics AX at Microsoft Development Center Copenhagen, the European development center for Microsoft Business Solutions.
As Development Manager, you will be responsible for providing technical direction and vision to build tools in and around Microsoft Dynamics AX to improve developer and partner productivity and ensure that Microsoft and the partner ecosystem around Microsoft Dynamics AX can provide affordable, customizable and upgradeable top quality solutions to our end users throughout the world.
You will be responsible for building and managing a team of high performing professional software development engineers to design, guide and implement infrastructure and product features. You will communicate and collaborate across multiple product teams and divisions, drive engineering excellence across the organization, and manage the team’s ability to deliver high quality code, on time with multiple external dependencies. |

|
The ideal candidate will have proven software architectural and development cycle execution success leading projects across multiple versions and implementations towards a long term vision. They should have a proven track record of leading development efforts across teams. Strong communications skills are required, as a successful candidate will work closely with senior leaders inside MBS and the with the other development organizations.
The successful candidate will demonstrate vision, strategic thinking, strategic leadership, people development skills, strong negotiation and conflict management skills, drive for results across other large web teams and to successfully manage development and operational dependencies across the company. Demonstrated experience driving the delivery of larger scale business solutions, knowledge and experience of software development life cycle, demonstrated experience defining the technical strategy for a software product or internal business systems, familiarity with business processes and automation hereof, knowledge of Microsoft software development tools and technologies and demonstrated experience effectively communicating with senior management and technical organizations. You should have at least 10 years of product development experience in designing, managing, and shipping high quality, customer-focused platform products. A BS is CS is required; a MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, and/or equivalent industry experience is preferred. |
