Director, Advanced Compliance & Social Responsibility
The Manufacturing Advanced Compliance Director Role is part of our ongoing transformation as a world class supply chain. The role involves the following key functions:

• In-depth knowledge of networking industry and technology
• Collaborates with Legal, Corporate Compliance, Engineering, Tax, Customs and divisional compliance teams to assure the full spectrum of product compliance required across all Cisco Divisions’ product portfolio (Cisco, Linksys & Scientific Atlanta)
• Investigates key needs of each aspect of manufacturing business goals and ensures compliance plan is leveraging existing and future manufacturing operations
• Coordinates with manufacturing contracts team to address compliance requirements in Manufacturing Contracts
• Drives compliance plan throughout the supply chain and integrates compliance in to supplier qualification criteria
• Coordinates with Social Responsibility team to ensure environmental, health & safety, & social responsibility and diversity goals are managed with suppliers
• Develops/updates positioning regarding product compliance which may be shared with customers/ investors seeking information regarding environmentalism and social responsibility
• Coordinates with corporate social responsibility team to support continued and increasing stature in industry (e.g. Dow Jones World Sustainability index)
• Incorporates product compliance into proposals and new supply chain opportunities
• Drives compliance process through out manufacturing systems and tools
• Develops and monitors metrics for compliance success
• Develops and implements early alert system to assure cross functional analysis of potential compliance issues and opportunity to influence industry; governmental organizations and NGOs to implement compliance in a manner consistent with Social Responsibility goals and electronics industry realities and trends
• Drives Intellectual Property and Brand Protection compliance program throughout the supply chain in coordination with corporate brand protection
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree
Law : Jurist
Experience: 5 years +
Languages: English : Speak / Write Fluently

• Supply chain and compliance responsibility and experience
• Advanced degree in business administration; JD Degree; or compliance subject (e.g. materials science; supply chain planning, etc.) preferred
• Ability to manage and direct broad spectrum of Program Managers focusing on various compliance activities through out the supply chain who in turn achieve program implementation via cross-functional teams and influence upon functional organizations such as Manufacturing Product operations; New Product Introduction, Engineering, Customer Advocacy and Services
• Skilled negotiator and influencer of multi-party teams with varying missions to drive to singular result
• Ability to balance sales and revenue priorities with risk
• Ability to communicate and interface effectively and with credibility with top management at Cisco as well as the customer.
• Ability to take complex terms/issues and streamline them into a repeatable and malleable process.
• Influence and collaboration skills are imperative.
