Dynamics AX is one of the fastest growing products in the Microsoft Business Division We are looking for a smart, passionate, friendly and experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team and play a key role in enhancing the functionality, delivering a quality product and making a difference in the marketplace.
Responsibilities:
As an SDET on the Dynamics AX GDL test team, the candidate will be responsible for owning the quality of country-specific features. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to test design, test case definition, writing/maintaining automation using C# as well as X++ (a Dynamics AX Language), and test execution and analysis. The candidate will work with the Dev and PM teams to ensure the features meet product requirements, are shipped with the highest quality on schedule, and will participate in feature and design reviews to ensure the testability of the features. When the need arises, the candidate will develop test tools, test infrastructure, and processes to support testing the product. The candidate must also build solid collaborative relationships with vendors and other internal Microsoft teams across the globe.
In this role you will do build execution, debugging and publishing of build data on web pages and emails in support of our development effort. This will will also include; CoreXT deployment for developers, WTT deployment for test execution, BVT/BAT execution, TAE execution. |

Successful candidates are self-motivated individual contributors and problem solvers, with strong technical background, demonstrated experience shipping software in a full product lifecycle, and having a proven record of great cross-group collaboration; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced environment; good attention to detail and passion for quality; the ability to work as a team player. Applicants should have 3-4 years of experience in software testing, experience with an object oriented language such as C#/C++, and have worked with automation tools and approaches. A background in accounting and/or testing Business Applications is considered a plus, but not required. A BS or MS in Computer Science or related technical discipline is required. Position requires a person who thrives on challenges, loves solving complex problems with creative solutions, and is passionate about automating processes in a fast paced environment. As a Build Engineer on the Dynamics Core Services Build Team you will script, test, deploy, and help drive our build processes including our Build, Unit Test, BVT, BAT and TAE test automation processes. You will be part of a team that is responsible for helping to drive build service improvements and advancements, setting up builds and debugging build issues, monitoring and maintaining our development, build and test infrastructure, and contributing to the various services provided by our team.
Technical background that includes using and debugging applicable build processes, knowledge of Source Control (Source Depot, Perforce, VSS, etc) systems, good technical communication skills, demonstrated attention to detail, demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team. In addition ability to help with code analyses and code metrics with C, C++, C#, and X++. Comfortable with binary processing analyses and binary metrics. And you should want to support the developer and test community.
The following technical knowledge and experience are considered pluses: Web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, ASPX, CSS, etc.), experience developing software using C# and .Net, Microsoft Build Environments and tools i.e. Source Depot.
