IBM is currently recruiting SAP Project Management Professionals into their established and growing GBS (Global Business Services) SAP Project Management Practice.
We are looking for applicants with an IT and SAP consulting background with experience and knowledge in at least one business area (HR, IS, SRM, GRC, CRM, PLM, APO, PM, FI-CO) or SAP industry solution and with understanding of the integration between several SAP modules and solutions. Candidates must be experienced in managing international SAP projects or SAP service contracts of middle or high complexity.
Project Management Certification in the relevant field is expected.
The candidates successfully recruited for this role will be able to:
• Take responsibility for SAP projects and/or SAP service contracts and deliver solutions or services that meets the requirements specified in client contracts on schedule and within financial constraints
• Understand client, industry and business trends and apply this understanding to meet project objectives
• Develop and sustain positive working relationships with client management and staff
• Lead cross-functional teams consisting of IBM, client and supplier professionals to produce the project deliverables, with an emphasis on quality, productivity and consistency during all project phases (proposal, concept, solution design phase, initiating, planning, executing, controlling, closing)
• Lead international teams including globally distributed remote team members
• Work as a part of the IBM organisation and develop and sustain relationships with all stakeholders of the project
• Apply project management methodology, establish a project management system and perform activities for the management of deliverables, changes, progress, risks, issues
• Analyse new and complex project related issues and create innovative solutions involving finance, scheduling, technology, methodology, tools and solutions components
• Work as part of IBM engagements teams delivering lasting value to clients
The applicant should be an well-versed SAP Project Manager who has significant experience in at least one international SAP project of middle complexity or at least one SAP service contract.
We also invite exceptional applicants who have been working as Project Managers responsible for a team of Business Process Experts in a SAP ERP implementation project and therefore have been exposed to a structured project environment. Furthermore we are also interested in applicants experienced in managing SAP service contracts including offshore resources.
The successful candidate will have experience in:
• Managing the full lifecycle of a SAP project or SAP service contract
• A working knowledge of the SAP Solution Manager and/or SAP implementation methodology
• Possess a degree or have the relevant experience.
• Have cross-industry expertise.
• Have excellent communication and negotiating skills.
• Have experience of working in different organisations and be able to integrate successfully into and negotiate their way around differing cultures.
• Have experience in leading onshore and offshore project teams.
• Be willing to share knowledge globally. |
