Financial Analyst/ Junior Controller
Located at the headquarters of Roche Pharmaceuticals Division in Basel, PFA (Pharma Finance & Accounting) is responsible for consolidating the Pharma Division P&L and also for managing Credit Application process for capital investment projects.

This position has a dual responsibility working with these two sub-teams within the PFA team and offers a great chance to understand the different aspects of finance in a multinational firm by getting exposed to both:

1. Marketplace dynamics (P&L)
Taking part in the preparation of Sales and Financials Presentations for the Pharma Executive Committee.
Analyzing and preparing the Monthly Actual and Quarterly Rolling Forecast reporting. (involving contact with Affiliates, Global Functions, Corporate Finance, etc.)
Providing information and analysis to various customers, including other Finance Departments, Marketing, Investor Relations, etc.
Coordinating and releasing the Pharma Finance Reporting Traffic Lights, as well as the Forecasting Accuracy metrics.

2. Long-term strategic decisions (Capex)
Supporting Capex reports (including Business Plan) for the Pharma Division
Ensuring the consistency and compliance of credit applications, and the approval process
Reviewing / Challenging business cases, financial aspects of investment projects
Performing Ad-Hoc analysis and reports.

You have a university degree in economics or business administration or an equivalent qualification and a few years work experience in Finance and Controlling. Good analytical skills and an understanding of basic accounting concepts are a pre-requisite for this position. Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are a must. Interest in the Pharmaceutical industry is a plus. Additionally very good knowledge of MS Office is required; knowledge of SAP R/3 (CO/FI) is a plus.
