Consultant / Analyst-Programmer (MAPS-2)
Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Consultant has the following principal duties:

- participates as a member of a team responsible for the maintenance and development of computer systems fulfilling the requirements of the International Trademark Registry and the International Industrial Designs Registry;
- undertakes systems analysis and design, including their documentation, of computer systems according to established standards;
- writes, enhances, maintains, tests computer software and keeps related documentation up to date;
- provides liaison, where appropriate, between technical staff and users, in the development, integration, installation and testing of system components;
- provides users with training and support and develops user documentation;
- keeps up to date with technologies related to computer systems;
- performs other related duties as required.

University degree or equivalent training or experience in computer science or a related discipline.
Good experience, at least 2 years, with Web Services, SOAP, WSDL and Services Oriented Architectures.
Good knowledge of systems analysis, using accepted Object Oriented methodologies.
Good knowledge of Java, web based technologies and systems integration.
Good experience in programming on the Windows Operating System environment and a working knowledge of other programming languages such as C++, .Net is desirable.
Excellent knowledge of either English or French. A good working knowledge of the other language would be an advantage.
