This position exists to render legal support to several JTI HQ departments. More precisely, you will have to :
- Act as a primary legal counsel for several JTI HQ departments (Finance, Tax, Procurement, Compliance, Corporate Communication and Brand Intergrity) and work closely with these departments;
- handle specific projects (functionally) assigned by any of the JTI HQ departments, by the General Counsel or by the Corporate Secretary;
- identify and solve issues/problems from a legal point of view for the above mentioned JTI HQ departments;
- participate in working groups regarding critical issues and/or strategic projects in order to challenge and improve the business;
- ensure compliance with laws, regulations, voluntary codes and Operating Guidelines. This is accomplished primarly by providing preventing legal advices and presenting respective compliance programs to the different project team of the HQ departments;
- provide legal support the JTI Corporate Affairs Office in Brussels;
- manage the relationships with external lawyers and to keep current knowledge of applicable laws and regulations by contact with various JTI inhouse and outside counsel, through the review of professional literature and contact with other legal authorities within outside the industry and by attending seminars, etc... |

| You are holder of the Bar exam (prefered) or of a Law Degree plus a Master in Law. You have 2 to 4 years experience in multinational environment and/or sizeable law firm. You are fluent in English (written skills very important) and French with good knowledge of standard MS softwares. |
