You will achieve below both yourself and with the help of I/T colleagues in Geneva and other Cargill locations worldwide. The main platforms and technologies used are .Net/IIS, MS Excel / MS Access/VBA, Oracle 10. 20% - User / Application Support Provide application support, ranging from user assistance to operational maintenance of business critical Energy applications. Follow-up with I/T teams within Cargill worldwide as needed. Identify opportunities to improve existing applications and processes. Support actives will be higher during the first months to facilitate risk processes knowledge.
80% - Projects Lead or participate in projects to deliver new business solutions and process enhancements. Your responsibilities include project management, analysis, design, and development as well as quality assurance. At all times, you will collaborate with Energy business partners and I/T colleagues and ensure effective communication with all parties. Knowledge transfer with Energy business partners & I/T colleagues is required. Your assignments for the Energy Group will follow a common approach, as outlined hereafter for your first series of projects that you will address for the Energy Risk team, who manages market risks worldwide for all Energy Business Units. To be successful, the team analyzes commodity risks, monitors trading positions based on various transactional systems, and ensures that risk indicators (VAR, Stress) remain within predefined limits. While becoming familiar with business requirements and currently used tools, you will document the existing environment and recommend the future strategy in line with Cargill rules. Once the strategy approved (both short and long term), you will work with the various transactional system teams to develop and implement required changes to existing applications and lead development of new tools to best support the needs of Energy Risk group. The objective is to leverage your business and technical expertise to create integrated and value added solutions for the Risk team. Once your assignment with Risk team is completed, you will lead other key projects for the Energy group.

Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering and 5+ years of related experience. 5+ years of experience in all following development environments: .Net Framework (C#), Excel/Access/VBA, Oracle 10g. Demonstrated strong problem solving skills. Desire and ability to learn quickly "on the job" and understand Energy business requirements. Ability to quickly cut through complex issues and chose pragmatic solutions while keeping applications generic and flexible. Ability to take initiative, work autonomously and take on additional responsibilities as required by business needs, facilitating prompt response to Energy user requests. Ability to communicate business and technical requirements to both business and technical staff. Ability to work successfully in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and requirements both as team member and independently. Demonstrate strong knowledge in all technical aspects as well as Project Management skills. At ease to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
