Global Platform & System Information Solutions (GPS IS), based at Roche Diagnostics Ltd. in Rotkeuz, specialises in the development and maintenance of IT solutions in the field of medical technology. The GPS IS team is now expanding and is seeking an energetic, motivated and hands on person to take a lead role in developing the next generation versions of our applications. Your qualifications are as laboratory technician, ETH or comparable university degree in informatics.
As Technical Project Leader, you will be responsible for: Leading a project team in the various stages of development; from design brainstorms, through feature development, to fixing that last elusive bug Developing software to specification and within agreed timelines Ensure design, implementation and unit testing is in accordance with specifications, agreed timelines and GPS IS Quality Assurance Procedures Estimation, planning and monitoring, resource allocation & scheduling Technical lead of sub-teams, providing employee with technical input as sparing partner for best possible solutions within the given boundaries Maintain existing software modules and provide 3rd level support Communicate effectively in spoken and written English (and German) |

You have experience in a number of the following areas: Planning and leading projects within an IT environment Architectural IT system design and development of such Coordination with management and development teams Software development and testing of Hospital / Laboratory Information Systems or medical devices, or workflows, or user interaction applications with DB access Programming experience with databases and stored procedures Developing for Windows and with distributed / modular systems Hands on experience in software development and testing Continuous improvement of software engineering relevant processes (e.g. Change management processes, etc.)
Technical knowledge with the following would be beneficial: C#, C++, HTML, Java, Delphi, XSL, XSD, Visual Basic, .Net UML, Source Control XML, JavaScript and User Interface Design PL/SQL (Oracle), SQL Server, Cache (Mumps) Reporting tools, such as Crystal Reports or FOP Further desirable knowledge:
Exposure to different cultures, multi-national project and team experience Background in medical devices, laboratory environment Regulatory and quality requirements for European & US IVD markets
