Integration Analyst
Global Platform & System Information Solutions (GPS IS), based at Roche Diagnostics Ltd. in Rotkeuz, specialises in the development and maintenance of IT solutions in the field of medical technology. The GPS IS area is now expanding and is seeking an energetic, motivated person with strong leadership skills to serve as the liaison between the business units and developers and take the lead in integrating the technologies and support of our applications.

In this position you will be expected to:

• Establish and improve processes at all phases within the software development life cycle and create problem-solving partnerships with the various teams of the organization.

• Analyze, troubleshoot and recommend corrections for existing and new program code.
• Review and possibly create requirements, technical, design and unit specification documents
• Ability to see downstream implications resulting from change in scope and/or requirements.
• Providing business process guidance to the development team.
• Review application performance and responsiveness, to enhance application function and usability
• Assist in the compliance of industry standard application development techniques and practices.
• Participate in all of the various stages of development from design sessions and core development through critical bug fixes and patches.
• Communicate effectively in English (and German).

• Software development for Hospital / Laboratory Information Systems or medical devices, or experience with laboratory environments and workflows

• Business systems analysis experience in all phases of the SDLC from problem definition through implementation.
• Release and configuration management.
• Experience working with relational databases.
• Developing for Windows XP/2003 and with distributed systems.
• XML, JavaScript, User Interface Design.
• Reporting tools such as Crystal Reports or FOP.
Knowledge with several of the following technologies is highly desirable:
• SQL, PL/SQL (Oracle)
• HTML, Java, JBoss, Delphi
• UML, Source Control
• XSL, XSD, Visual Basic, .Net
