A Business Solution Manager (BSM) within the Informatics Group responsible for developing and maintaining Roche Drug Safety Applications in the area of Drug Safety and Risk Management. As the BSM for proactive safety you will be required to contribute to and lead the requirements gathering process and business process modeling for new Information Management projects within the drug safety function. This will involve working closely with business representatives as well as assisting the technical team in understanding these requirements. You will retain an oversight of the delivery of these requirements and act as a liaison between the business and development team ensuring that the business needs are met and where necessary assist the business with the successful implementation of the solution. You may also be required to manage and/or lead early stage projects, which will vary in size and complexity. The main responsibilities will be: Understand the business processes in use within Roche Global Drug Safety and assist the Drug Safety function in identifying how these can be supported through the use of information management systems. Work closely with the project business representatives and the Informatics Project Manager to lead the requirements gathering process and subsequent business process definition Responsible for documenting all requirements and obtaining approval from both business and technical groups Work alongside the Informatics technical development team during the development phase to ensure that all requirements are fully understood and correctly interpreted. Where necessary seeking additional input and confirmation from the business representatives. Work with technical team to design, build and test new Drug Safety applications as requested by the business Provide business process support to ensure systems cause minimal disruption of business processes Managing and leading projects as and when the need arises |

Mandatory: MSc or BSc in a Lifescience discipline, Medical Information Systems or similar discipline or experience in a drug safety function Knowledge of current an upcoming legislation in regard to Drug Safety particularly from FDA & EMEA Three to five years experience in business analyst roles for large Informatics projects in the drug development area Knowledge of Drug Safety business processes and regulatory requirements Experience in Business Process Modeling and organizational change management Good Project Management skills Excellent facilitation and communication skills (both written and oral) Strong customer focus; be capable of working independently and have the ability to identify and complete urgent tasks first.
