The Global MML Business Informatics Manager (BIM) is the primary point of contact for Informatics related activities in our department (Molecular Medicine Laboratories, MML). MML is a global organization within Roche, partnering in the discovery and analysis of biomarkers in Roche internal projects with teams in Pharma Research, Pharma Development, and Diagnostics. In addition, the BIM develops and implements biomarker data management and integration concepts to enable MML in the delivery of molecular and cellular data to be used for the discovery and analysis of biomarkers.The BIM needs to understand MML workflows and processes, is responsible for the identification of gaps and needs regarding Informatics systems and support for these processes, and partners with Informatics units outside MML in the delivery and implementation of solutions.In more detail the BIM:
Will lead a biomarker data management and integration group Responsible of MML informatics project portfolio Develops the Informatics roadmap for MML Generates and maintains mapping of MML Informatics systems to MML processes, identifies gaps, estimates consequences of system failures Establishes business ownership for MML Informatics systems Participates in/chairs change control boards of the major MML Informatics systems Establishes documentation of MML informatics processes Helps in the MML strategic informatics planning |

At least 5 years experience with proven track record of running high performing environments in multiple fields of technical experience; profound IT and LIMS experience and deep understanding of Bioinformatics and Biology wet lab research Demonstrated Informatics Project Management skills and experience Bioinformatics background including expertise regarding tools and databases Experience with Computerized Systems Validation, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development, and GxP compliance Up-to-date knowledge of molecular Biology wet lab technologies Knowledge about informatics delivery processes for infrastructure and applications Led multi-national teams, also in a virtual environment - Line management experience would be an advantage Customer, quality, cost and delivery focus combined with excellent coordination and organizational skills A drive to be innovative, you're reliable, take responsibility and accountability Excellent communication and negotiation skills Excellent verbal and written English language skills, additional language skills such as German, Spanish, French are a strong asset Flexibility to travel and to work between across different time zones
