The candidate will support the department's key objective to create corporate messaging and written materials to enhance the understanding of the company’s mission, business objectives and performance, to employees and the outside world. Key focus will be to distil JTI messages into meaningful communications that engage their identified audiences, and ensure overall quality, consistency, and tailoring to various internal and external communications channels. Excellent attention to detail combined with a passion for people is absolutely necessary.
Areas of responsibility
1- The role’s key focus is to provide written support to Corporate Communications. This includes writing corporate messaging, articles, brochures, presentations, online content, as well as interviewing. The candidate will work with various levels of management within JTI, as well as close coordination with supporting external partners. Excellent attention to detail is a key priority as the role will require frequent checking, editing, and approvals of business communications, often to tight deadlines.
2- Management and development of editorial guidelines for JTI’s key communications channels, ensuring overall quality, consistency, and credibility of messaging. The role will require a firm understanding of JTI's positions, code of conduct, and key messages to ensure that communications activities are suitable and sensitive to both the business operating environment and cultural diversity of JTI's operations.
3- Acts in an advisory/consultative role to market and functional requests for support and guidance, while ensuring that key overall CC priorities are delivered. The ability to seek win-win solutions in a global context is essential. Must be self-motivated, resourceful, flexible, and be able to build rapport with JTI employees and management at all levels.
4- Performs various other activities deemed appropriate to support the Corporate Communication team's key objectives. |
