Essent Trading seeks skilled financial engineers with track records of developing commercial structured products and services in competitive markets. Must be capable of translating the synthetic asset portfolio and structured products into market strategies. They will interface with markets to identify hedging opportunities, trades and innovative transactions.
Standard and non-standard product development: Create opportunities by identifying market and portfolio opportunities and then developing products that meet client needs and differentiate Essent Trading. Activities include structuring, risk evaluation, pricing transactions and advice on hedging
Clients: Present the offered solutions to clients. Provide valuations and risk management strategies for structured transactions and investment activities. Participate in international negotiations: explain key elements of complex contracts to international counterparts and helps find and develop the best client solution |

5+ years analytical experience in structured physical and financial commodity transactions: structured product development, simulation techniques, financial engineering and risk adjusted pricing A strong appetite to get deals done rather than just address valuation aspects Able to explain complex, technical structures and issues to counterparties, originators or management in a clear and concise manner. Requires a strong ability to project credibility and self-confidence! A proactive attitude to value-creation: find (i) ways to maximize a deals value and (ii) possibilities for new approaches and products Experience with financial models for minimizing financial risks
Strong IT skills inc Visual Basic, SQL, Excel and Access Ability to make cross-commodity and service relationships (eg - with trading desks)
University degree is essential, analytical and/or quantitative field preferred( MBA, MA, MSc, Phd) Fluent in English essential |
