Marketing Manager International Expansion, Europewill be the single lead and point of contact in the European Marketing team for all Marketing activities related to eBay international expansion in Europe. Marketing Manager International Expansion will report to the Program Planning Manager (to be checked with Torsten) and will work very closely with the International Expansion business unit. The Marketing Manager International Expansion will manage all marketing activities end-to-end across all marketing channels for eBay International Market (eIM) platforms in 6 new countries (RU, CZ, NO, DK, SE and GR) Â as well as lead all marketing activities for potential further expansion in 2010. Â eBay International Markets (eIM) are new eBay sites which will be launched in Q4 09. Â eIM are localized cross-boarder trade buying platforms for buyers in Russia, Czech Republic, Greece, Norway, Sweden, Denmark allowing buyers from those countries to search and buy items on eBay available to their country in their local language.
The Marketing Manager International Expansion will manage all marketing activities end-to-end for all eIM countries. This includes - On site, Direct Marketing, Merchandising, cooperation with Centers of Excellence for Natural and Paid Search, collaboration with marketing agencies as well as other marketing managers for marketing activities on other eBay sites promoting eIM. These channels are extremely valuable to eBay because they serve as a direct connection to the customer and support our ability to communicate new programs and or changes to programs already in existence.
The Marketing Manager International Expansion is a visible and central role within a fast-paced, dynamic group. There is plenty of room to grow for an ambitious, creative and driven individual.
Main Responsibilities: - Develop, optimize and track results of localized and targeted on-site and direct marketing activities on all eBay International Market (eIM) platforms - Lead collaboration with Centers of Excellence for Natural and Paid Search to maximize Rate of Return from dedicated budget - Work closely with International Expansion business unit to be aware of plans, make recommendations, support new developments, track and report back marketing results Work with Marketing agencies for new designs and campaigns on eIM - Manage eIM Marketing Budget, including Paid Search - Collaborate with other marketing managers to share best practices and improve results - Close the loop and provide reporting on results each month |

BA/BS (business, economics or a related field), MBA a plus 5-7 years marketing experience for international companies, internet preferred Analytical background to grasp targeting and complex campaign setups and measure their results Pro-active and creative, efficient yet with an open and flexible attitude Able to manage multiple projects requiring strong problem-solving capabilities Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills Fluent command of English is a must, fluency in Russian, Czech, Greek, Norwegian, Swedish or Danish is a PLUS Collaborative - yet able to drive to decisions and action Creative, out-of-the-box thinker Great team player Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to react to changing priorities |
