This is a Manager role with people and program management responsibility.
The Manager will lead a team in charge of the development of software modules to be integrated onto Cisco video endpoint products.
The principal responsibilities of this role are:
- Negotiate and agree priorities with Product Marketing and platform groups
- Managing the team in order to deliver in time, at specs and within budget
- Plan the project, drive the team through the design phase to the commit deadline
- Manage the project through execution (coding, testing, documenting) and define exit and handover process
- Define, execute and manage long term sustaining plan
- People management includes: motivate the team members, guaranteeing fairness and constructive working environment, execute yearly plan and review process and help the organization to plan its evolution
In this position, the ideal candidate is familiar with software development methodology and related tools: working experience of Agile methodology is a plus; excellent written and verbal communication skills, understanding of software development process and environments (Windows, Linux, C/C++…) |

Candidates must have 5+ years in software engineering management, have managed software development teams and have used industry-wide validated development methodologies.
• Solid understanding of the software development process, requirements definition and acceptance process with internal and external partners
• Planning projects and software development tasks including specifications, execution, testing and sustaining
• Project management: monitor the execution of the program, prepare regular operational reviews, manage and preview exceptions…
• Software development methodology working experience; preferably experience in Agile methodology and related terminology (scrum, sprints, releases, points of sprint…)
