The Convergence Trading Unit (CTU) is seeking to fill a Senior Options Analyst & Trader position as a key member of the Shared Value Creation Centre. The CTU is a newly created trading unit in the Energy Transportation & Industrial (ETI) Platform with a mandate to: 1) Analyze and trade inter-relationships across the ETI range of products and between the ETI and commodities traded elsewhere in Cargill. 2) Build a world-class Base Metals trading business. 3) Act as a Custodian, Link and Marketer of the ETI's IP knowledge & insights to the external financial community. 4) Become the Connectivity Champion and Collaboration Engine within ETI and between ETI and other Cargill businesses. Position role and responsibilities The candidate will analyze, develop strategies and manage an options portfolio across the (ETI) Platform range of commodities with expressed focus on relative value and cross-commodity volatility trading and arbitrage. He or she will liaise with, consult and aide a team of Options Champions embedded in the different ETI BUs/Product Lines in analyzing, developing and managing strategies in terms of exchange-traded, OTC and embedded options. |

Musts: - Deep understanding of options/derivatives theory and models. - Extensive options portfolio trading and management experience preferably in commodity markets. - Excellent knowledge and understanding of markets in general. - Capacity to translate trading views/GPs into appropriate options strategies. - Excellent interpersonal skills, proven ability to work in/lead a team and communicate at all levels. - Strong IT skills including extensive working knowledge of with Bloomberg, Reuters, or similar. - Innovative and independent thinker C++, Matlab, VB/VB.NET analysis, forex, equity or fixed income/interest rate markets and analysis
Wants: - Experience across a broad range of markets. - Strong background in quantitative research/applied mathematics - Experience with a C++, Matlab, VB/VB.NET. - Understanding, experience and interest in technical analysis, forex, equity or fixed income/interest rate markets and analysis. - Experience in research, development and management of systematic trading models and strategies.
Qualifications - Graduate or Masters in finance / economics / mathematics or science. - Top degree required in a numerate subject. |
