Trade Execution Coordinator - Sugar Vessel
Cargill Sugar is involved in the origination, shipping, trading and distribution of raw and refined sugar worldwide. Our group operates in 16 countries with over 140 staff members, 60 of which are based in Geneva Headquarters.

Position Role and Responsibilities
The Sugar Vessel operations team counts 6 members. In this role, the individual will take responsibility for the execution of the charter party and coordinate all vessel operations with various parties, e.g. owners, agents, including finalization of demurrage/dispatch.
The jobholder will have extensive contacts with internal and external parties.
This position reports to the Sugar Vessel group leader

Description of Tasks and Responsabilities
Execution of freight contracts:
Checking of freight contracts and review of contract terms
Communication between charterer/broker/owner and declarations of load/disport, quantity, commodity and load/discharge rates
Nomination of port agents
Monitoring of vessel logistics and movements
Implementation of protective actions
Problem solving and coordination with legal, insurance, surveyors
Reporting of voyage incident to OTD
Coordinate issuance of LOI's
Freight payments
Receipt and checking of SOF for correctness
Laytime calculation, billing of demurrage /despatch, follow-up of disputes, estimation of demurrage/despatch
Control, registration and payment of various vessel accounts and service invoices
Finalization of accounts and the charter with owners

General admin/reporting
Investigation and information on port congestion, line-ups, draft restrictions, strikes
Follow-up of long range planned fixtures and reminders to traders about deadlines for declarations
Update of internal systems, AS400/Sugar web
Qualifications: Apprenticeship
Experience: 5 years +
Languages: English : Speak / Write Fluently

Commercial diploma or apprenticeship
+4 years experience in the shipping area/vessel operations area.
Operational experience on board vessels or in port agency is an advantage
Knowledge of CharterParties key terms and their application
PC skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Fluent written and spoken English, a second language is preferred
