The new position is for an Accounting and Reporting Manager with experience in US GAAP or IFRS. The incumbent will support the GVA-based Corporate Accounting Group in reporting and analyzing income tax provision and pension accounting. The incumbent will assume primary responsability in the following activities : (a) review and analyze tax and pension reportings submitted by subsidiaries each quarter and liaise with entities in case of questions or issues (b) ensure tax and pension quarterly reportings reconcile with the General Ledger (c) own specified JSOX controls related to Corporate Income Taxes and pension liability (d) prepare tax ((FIN18, ETR analyses) and pension liability analyses each quarter for the attention of the Financial Controller (e) liaise with the Corporate actuary to plan and follow-up the annual valuation process for pension and postretirement benefits (f) perform technical research (US GAAP and IFRS) on tax and pension accounting to prepare the documentation supporting the accounting issues managed by the Corporate Accounting team in Geneva (g) participate in the adoption of IFRS from a tax and pension accounting perspective (h) participate in specific tax projects related to tax provision including training and further automation of the provision process. Chartered Public Accountant with University degree in Finance or equivalent. 4-5 years in an accounting/reporting or audit role, preferably with meaningful exposure to FAS 109 or IAS 12 / FAS 158 or IAS 19 provision work and US GAAP or IFRS in general (industry or accounting firms). Fluency in English. Strong knowledges of Excel. Some knowledges on SAP will be an asset but is not an immediate requirement.
