The Global Head CSO will lead the Clinical Sample Operations (CSO) functions across all sites with direct accountability for all operational activities, development, implementation and global standardization of sample management processes in accordance with ICH / GxP / Biobank standards and SOPs. In addition the Global Head CSO may also be a Local Site Head.
Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities Actively participates and positively contributes to the Biosample & Repository Management (BRM) Management Team to ensure both site and functional business needs are met Leads and manages the global CSO team across sites in order to maximize their capability and contribution to deliver high quality performance and standards Delivers through appropriate leadership, direction and action to the global strategy and the development, validation and implementation of all operational aspects of the global sample management group Accountable for establishing and implementing globally consistent/standardized material supply and sample management processes, in collaboration with heads of key partner functions and stakeholders and the resource allocation according to business needs Accountable that procedures are defined and implemented at each CSO site to ensure the proper functioning of facility equipment training of staff and document archiving based on corporate policies Ensures all biosample operational activities are performed to the highest standards of ethics and compliance within cost and time parameters as well as builds and maintains effective communication with all relevant key clients Accountable for the global CSO budget and provides portfolio context and analysis of the global CSO function and consolidates and reports data to the function
