- Leads Early Development (pRED) Clinical Operations in the execution and management of the sourcing strategies
- Defines and establishes the strategy for and manages the strategic pRED Ops alliances
- Accountable for the delivery of the outsourced projects and studies.
- Designs the sourcing strategies for CROs and clinical networks to support the clinical study portfolio .
- Ensures collective departmental operational excellence and leverage of best practices in all aspects of strategic sourcing in early development.
- Leads the pRED Operations Strategic Sourcing group, ensuring optimal business and sourcing expertise and support to the DBAs (Disease Biology Area), functions and teams, whilst contributing to the management and leadership of pRED Clinical Operations and pRED development.
- Manage a group of Operations sourcing alliance leaders directly and other colleagues involved in outsourcing eg COLs (Clinical Operations Leader), data management outsourcing specialists indirectly in order to maximize their capability and contribution to provide high quality deliverables. |

B.Sc/M.Sc or equivalent higher degree with sound scientific understanding. PhD/MBA a distinct advantage.
Significant industry relevant experience in the Clinical development preferably in early phases background in CRO or outsourcing business.
A good working knowledge & breadth of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry with a high business acumen and project & performance management skills
Sound understanding of outsourcing business including procurement rules with relevant experience of the CRO business perspective
Extensive experience in external vendor /collaborations /outsourcing experience within the CRO sector
A demonstrated background in developing, implementing, and managing outsourcing strategies
Recognized professional well networked in area of sourcing and alliance management
Experience in early development
Proven leadership experience with senior level employees
