In the framework of the Graduate Internship Program, we offer in our European Technical Centre based in Meyrin, a position in: Engineering Polymers Research & Development

Applied materials research and product innovations technology is the core competency of the European Technical Centre team, the company's principal research, product development and customer support center serving the European, Middle East and Africa region.

Engineering Polymer R&D efforts focus on developing new applications and materials into innovative parts and systems. Joining the European Technical Centre team, will give you the opportunity to get an experience within a unique multi-national environment with world-class expertise at the forefront of research and dynamic product development in the rapidly growing European and global markets.

In this framework, the project you will work on will help you acquiring a unique set of competencies that will ensure your future career development. More precisely, you will be responsible for developing new methods leading to high throughput polymer development. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Development of novel high-throughput processes and techniques for accelerating the design and development of polymer materials with advanced performance attributes;
• Polymer modification and functionalization technology development via polymer compounding process;
• Investigation of polymer compounding process parameters across a wide range of industrially important high performance polymers;
• Performance evaluation of new polymer composites by mechanical, thermal and microscopy analytical tools;
• Participate as an active member of the high-throughput polymer research team responsible for the development of high-throughput characterization methods and their application to the design of advanced polymer materials.
• Work closely with research scientists at the DuPont European Technical Centre to understand critical polymer application requirements, develop well controlled material properties and processing conditions and support the application development on the relative markets.
