Incumbents in the Head of PT (Pharma Technical Operations) Operational Excellence role are generally expected to: Act as an organizational change agent delivering business results focused on improving PT business processes to improve reliability, increase simplicity, and enable scalable growth Successfully influence Pharma Technical Operations to continually work towards making the organization more effective and productive through the application of common methodology and tools, providing new and innovative ways to improve processes and add value to the business Provide leadership in directing business/OE leaders to develop OE deployment strategies, identify process improvement opportunities that are linked to long-term business strategies, ensuring that the OE process is successful. Lead and closely collaborate with the Operational Excellence Leadership Team to enhance cross-functional learning and best-practice sharing Drive the transition from functional management to business process management. Operationally work in tandem with the Head of PT Business Process Management Provide leadership and resources to support the organization's business process excellence goals as well as all other PT goals Develop and implement a Lean DMAIC Strategy to take PT to sustained world class performance Foster an approach to Operational Excellence that ensures the routine delivery of exceptional performance through a systematic approach to continuous, process improvement |

B.S. degree in Engineering, Science or Business, Masters or M.B.A. in a related field preferred. 10+ years experience in Business / Operations / Manufacturing / Project /Portfolio Management with considerable progressive managerial responsibility Expertise in leadership and deployment of proven methodologies such as: LEAN / DMAIC / EDO required Business acumen and financial savvy; strong business and finance understanding Superior problem solving skills with an ability to anticipate issues and recommend solutions Proven record of performance in strategy development with proven influence management, problem solving, decision making, relationship building and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to function extremely well under pressure in senior executive environments and able to effectively influence senior-level audiences Demonstrated ability to be able to present ideas persuasively and negotiate and convince others of the rationale and the need to implement policy and/or procedure |
