The Investment Solutions and Small Apps function provides the IT applications which support UBS Wealth Management & Swiss Banking Investment Management in obtaining asset based profits for the bank. We are looking for a Java Developer for the IS Toolset development team. IS Toolset is a web based application which allows client advisors to create and change 1M Mandates. Once a mandate is opened it is automatically monitored and when necessary rebalanced by the application in conjunction with the Portfolio Manager.
In your role as Java Developer your main responsiblities include:
• Understanding stakeholder requirements and delivering quality solutions
• Designing and implementing application components
• Ensuring requirements are implemented and documented according to design and development standards

• Extensive knowledge of Java 1.5, Hibernate, SOL and Maven
• Proven Eclipse RCP or Java Desktop application experience
• Experience of modern software engineering methodologies, such as object oriented analysis and design, web architectures, design patterns and iterative development processes (SCRUM, RUP)
• Strong problem solving and communication skills
• Portfolio Management and Websphere Application server knowledge would also be a benefit
• Only Swiss/EU citizen or candidates with a valid Swiss work permit may apply
• Good written and spoken English and German
