This is an exciting chance for you to play a central role as line manager in Clinical Data Management. Job Purpose: To provide high quality line management and functional data management expertise and coaching so that the individuals in the function are able to maximally contribute to the delivery of clinical projects or clinical studies. To provide input into the global functional strategy; to assist the global and site functional head in the development of global plans, and ensure implementation at the site, under their guidance.
Principal Accountabilities Manage a group of people in order to maximize their capability and contribution to deliver high quality projects and studies Ensure that Global standards for their function are developed and implemented locally in a manner that creates consistency, efficiency and high standards of compliance. Drive the implementation of process improvements and initiatives, with the objective of enhancing productivity and efficiency at site whilst maintaining globally consistent processes. Manage the overall contribution of the individuals in their team to ensure the effective execution and delivery of the site studies and projects Work effectively with the local resourcing manager and functional management team to ensure that sufficient, appropriately qualified, resources are identified, made available and allocated to studies. Actively contribute to the site functional management team. |

A strong level of functional expertise in Data Management. It is unlikely that this experience will have been obtained in less than five years. A Science or higher degree and/or other relevant experience. You will strong people skills allied to a thorough, rounded background based on functional experience in drug development Good analytical and conceptual thinking skills and display these in problem analysis. Prior leadership/ management experience, or significant experience in leading projects. Strong development orientation and will be interested in creating pragmatic opportunities to develop your direct reports. Ideally you will have experience of coaching employees and creating development plans. Managing the performance of your direct reports in order to maximise their contribution, in giving feedback and in coaching them. Ideally you will display a track record of doing this. Working in a matrix organisation and in influencing others using a variety of approaches Flexible, 'can do' approach and a desire to reach the end result successfully. Implementation skills.
