•You will be responsible for conducting strategic and analytical evaluations of discovery research and development projects including the preparation of information for evaluation models and investment decision criteria. You will support project teams in developing decision trees, success rates, and scenario analyses ensuring the application of credible and objective assessment methodologies in investment proposals. You are also expected to play a critical role in "Portfolio Interfaces" by contributing to the continuous improvement of the portfolio management process through the evaluation, design, and implementation of best practices aimed at ensuring consistency, rigor, and transparency in assessment methodologies. As an experienced drug developer in a matrix organization, you will proactively identify opportunities and make recommendations to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness between Portfolio Management and our functional business partners.
•Support the Head of Portfolio Management & Interfaces in conducting portfolio analyses, core messages, and recommendations for the portfolio •Support the identification and evaluation of development options or scenarios in the context of portfolio, franchise, and scientific and commercial rationales •Establish portfolio risk profiles based on industry benchmarks •Give critical and constructive review and feedback of business cases for internal and business development proposals •Support continuous improvement of portfolio management processes •Support various operative tasks within portfolio management |

•University degree, preferably in (natural) science with affinity to pharmaceutical development •MD or PhD preferred •MBA a bonus •Fluent written & spoken English •Minimum 5 - 10 years of professional experience in similar/relevant position •Demonstrated knowledge of drug development environment in biotech/pharmaceutical industry •Previous experience in handling situations with international business partners •Ability to work in teams •Strong ability to learn quickly •Good interpersonal and negotiation skills, combined with assertiveness •Analytical and applied conceptual thinking •Excellent written and verbal communication skills •Ability to drive change management |
