The Institute of Medical Microbiology (IMM), University of Zurich, Switzerland invites applications
for the position of a Research Group Leader in the field of Microbiology.
The Institute of Medical Microbiology is part of the Medical Faculty of the University of Zurich and provides a highly dynamic environment as well as excellent opportunities for collaborations. Located in beautiful down-town Zurich, the IMM provides spacious and well equipped laboratories and state of the art BSL3-laboratories. The IMM has access to BSL3-animal facilities, modern imaging systems and the Functional Genomics Center.

Candidates should have a solid record of internationally recognized research work in microbiology including – but not limited to – genome evolution, host-pathogen interaction or bacterial virulence. The candidate should be experienced in competitive grant applications and is expected to establish an independent research group, while being interactive and open to collaborations.
