Search & Evaluation Associate Director - Endocrinology
Member of the licensing team contributing to financial and scientific valuations

MAIN TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Identify new growth opportunities and areas of innovation that can transform and further build the Endocrinology and Fertility franchises of Merck Serono for the future.
* Drive the search and evaluation process to discover new products at all stages of development within the above franchises.
* Effectively identify and drive implement new Life cycle management strategies and technologies to further strengthen existing products in all Merck Serono franchises.
* Manage external opportunity projects in close collaboration with R&D, Commercial, Marketing, BD and M&A. Execute with standards that ensure consistency between internal/external projects in alignment with Portfolio Management.
* Provide expertise on valuations and structure of new technology and product deals in order to optimize transactions.
* Proactively monitor the external business environment to track new licensing transactions and industry trends of interest to Merck Serono
* Develop and maintain a broad network within the biotech/pharma industry and scientific community. Promote Merck Serono as the partner of choice.
Qualifications: Medical degree (or Ph D degree in the biological sciences)
MBA
Experience: 5 years +
Languages: English : Speak / Write Fluently

Minimum 3-5 years industry experience
Expert knowledge of the drug development process of specialist products; previous experience from working with orphan and other niche products is a plus.Previous experience from project managing.
Knowledge of financially valuating preclinical and clinical R&D assets. Understands the fundamentals of financial and commercial analysis.
Exceptionally strong interpersonal skills with an ability to multitask as well as strong decision-making and negotiation skills. Member of the licensing team contributing to financial and scientific valuations.
A creative mindset and problem solver with a 'can-do' approach. Ability to develop and implement effective alternatives to current programs
