Yahoo’s Business Optimisation team supports Yahoo’s business operations in EMEA with change management services such as consulting, project management and training. The team leads critical business projects for Yahoo! in the region ranging from customer-facing process transformations to cost-saving initiatives such as rightsourcing.
Responsibilities:
• Identify opportunities for improvement by applying qualitative and quantitative analysis
• Define a business and project plan to leverage the opportunity specifying business metrics to be reached
• Build project team and governance structure
• Obtain support for the plan from business owner(s) and implied stakeholders
• Deliver the project to specifications, time and budget, managing vendors/associated third parties
• Transition project into operations and close it
• Lead programs, councils, task-forces with a focus on business improvements
• Manage business operations and vendor relationships on behalf of business owners |

• Strong business analysis and organizational design skills
• Creative problem-solver able to generate and analyse options
• Strong project management experience, with project qualification a plus
• Experience working in the Internet/Advertising industry and international environments
• Offshoring/rightsourcing experience a plus
• Entrepreneurial self-starter able to perform in fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment
• Team player not afraid of making themselves heard or act as a referee in disputes
• Interpersonal ability to build strong, effective working relationships and use intuitive diplomacy
• Excellent communication skills at all organizational levels, with an ability to convey complex realities in a simple, understandable way
• Used to handle multiple assignments with effective resolution of conflicting priorities
• University degree, MBA a plus
• All Yahoo! business will be conducted in English, but fluency in Spanish, Italian, French, or German would be very useful
• Very strong English writing skills required
• Ability to travel up to 30% |
