As Team Head Server and Storage in the Group Infrastructure Support Services organization your key responsibilities will include:
Leading a global team of some 200 people to deliver outcomes aligned with the Pharma Global Informatics Infrastructure (PGI) mission and hence the business imperatives Managing a global budget of some CHF70m Delivering a transformation that leverages established and emerging industry best practice to bring major improvements in the strategic agility, tactical flexibility, timeliness and unit cost efficiency of services Maintaining the quality of services throughout such a transformation Developing the people capability of the team in line with the wider PG people management mission Driving efficiency by utilizing globally harmonized key processes for IT operations and simplifying quality and process frameworks Ensuring that agreed, defined IT processes, standards and tools are followed by the organization Contributing as part of the PGIS Management Team to the development of PGIS and PGI functional strategy Understanding and taking ownership for the wider PG and PGI agenda and engaging managers and employees in the organization to further pro-actively communicate/ cascade key priorities of organization and required accountabilities within the team Establishing an environment where open two way communication and learning is possible |

7-12 years of successful and relevant experience managing the delivery of global IT Infrastructure Services with proven track record of running high performing environments. A career emphasis on server & storage / data centre services is a strong advantage Experience in managing change initiatives Strong vendor management skills, in both change and service delivery orientations Experienced in hybrid delivery models - in-house & external services combined effectively Customer focused - passionate to deliver IT services that make a difference for the business Inspiring and empowering leadership style Led large multi-national teams, also in a virtual environment Quality, cost and delivery focused Ideally lived and worked outside home country of origin Excellent coordination and organizational skills Innovative, demonstrates Roche values of Courage, Integrity, Passion Strong communication skills in range of contexts - written, verbal, level and nature of audience Energy and drive with the commitment to implement change internationally International mindset with clear goal orientation The candidate should be educated to bachelor's degree in engineering or business field, or equivalent experience ITIL Service Management certification and experience (Foundation required, higher levels desirable) Project Management certification Fluent in English, Spanish and German language skills seen as an asset |
