The successful candidate will join the team to enable procurement of direct materials in order to ensure continuous supply for 8 Factories in Europe by making sure that the optimized inventory level is provided and the contract level for regional and local Materials are achieved. The Position holder is working together with his supervisor on cost projects by considering overall demands and PMI sourcing strategies for allocated Material categories.
Specifically, you will:
Handle the overall purchasing responsibility for allocated Direct Material categories (DIM Material Groups). Establish consolidated and reliable Forecasting towards Suppliers. Manage supplier and the volume allocation based on PMI Procurement instructions for centrally managed purchases (global suppliers) and implement supplier agreements. Maintain or establish constructive supplier relationships, evaluate their performance and ensure that corrective actions are taken in case of need. Handle the factory's and the suppliers' complaints in escalation mode to optimize and guarantee the cooperation. Manage supplier and perform volume allocation for locally managed DIM purchases and monitor supplier agreements. Lead supplier review meetings Carry out Requests for Quotations and hold as well Negotiations

You hold a university degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience. You have 2 years of professional experience, preferably in the area of procurement or supply chain organization. You are PC literate (proficiency in with SAP/MM and MS Office tools is required). You are fluent in English. An additional language would be an asset. You are able to work within a team as well as conduct business on strategic level with other parties. You have strong communication and leadership skills. You have good analytical and learning capability.
