Head Disease Modeling and Simulation
As the head of disease modeling and simulation you will offer mathematical/ computational modeling expertise to the PMI R&D based on the analysis of experimental data, using current scientific knowledge, proprietary technologies and methods you will develop in silico models supporting disease research. Your scientific background and critical review skills of biological facts will be essential to develop a coherent synthesis of the biology being modeled.

Specifically, you will:
Lead the Disease Modeling and Simulation team and effort in CS&B. Develop mathematical and computational models to predict the behavior of complex biological systems.
Develop hypotheses for disease mechanisms based on the analysis of experimental data in the context of current scientific knowledge.
Use state of the art software tools to model the causal relationship between individual components within the whole biological system.
Prepare a coherent synthesis in scientific writing and presentation of the biology being investigated
Function as a member of a multidisciplinary team which executes scientifically challenging projects.
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree
Experience: 5 years +
Languages: English : Speak / Write Fluently

You hold a PhD degree in Applied Mathematics, Bioinformatics or closely related field
You have strong academic or industrial experience in modeling and simulations of biological systems.
You have a strong interest in collaborating with biologists for the elucidation of disease mechanisms
You have strong project management and internal consulting skills.
You have excellent scientific leadership and communication skills.
You have experience in collaborative, multidisciplinary research projects
Fluency in English is a must.
