Laboratory Head Behavioral Pharmacology
You will lead a behavioral pharmacology research group working on preclinical projects in the Psychiatry Disease Area. With an emphasis on translational neuroscience, this research group is responsible for providing the full range of expertise and technologies to profile molecules in animal models of psychiatric disorders throughout the course of drug discovery. The behavioral pharmacology section is responsible for the full characterization of drug candidates and provides key information on the in vivo activity of new drug candidates.

Key responsibilities: You will be responsible for the development and implementation of a battery of behavioral tests, including use of MRI and MRS, and for the supervision of testing novel drug molecules.

Main tasks: As one of the key contact persons for the Psychiatry Disease Area, you will communicate your data to project teams and senior management, and will propose in vivo experiments for the continued progression of projects, for patent exemplification and Investigator Brochure documentation. You will be responsible for a number of technicians and doctoral-level scientists that you will manage, motivate and guide in career development. You have the capability to become a project leader for one of our programs.

You have demonstrated experience in line management with coordination skills and strong leadership. You are flexible, have strong team skills and are used to paying attention to detail and adjusting to new challenges. You have an excellent command of spoken and written English and a working knowledge of German or French.
