Product Manager Medical Devices
To develop Medical Devices that meet the user and regulatory requirements within the agreed budget and schedule.
To support the manufacturing and supply of Medical Devices according to plans whilst resolving any related issues.
To resolve technical and production issues to ensure ongoing supply of devices and resolve quality issues.
To support market introduction and sales of Medical Devices, and manage them throughout their life cycle.
To develop state-of-the-art expertise in Medical Devices and exhaustive market knowledge of competitors, suppliers and technologies


To manage committed projects and Medical Devices development activities.
To ensure ongoing commitment at key suppliers for the development and production of Medical Devices in compliance with product specifications and Merck Serono requirements.
To review regularly with supply chain the market demand for Medical Devices and the inventory situation.
Accountability Area

To support the ongoing production of devices with suppliers, ATSA and Procurement.
To manage committed patients care products projects from the development to the market supply within approved schedule and budget.
Autonomy & Authority

To take technical actions with suppliers in order to resolve quality or production issues.
To establish development plan, validation plan and design control of committed Medical Devices.
Functional Knowledge

To develop and supply Medical Devices that meet the user requirements and provide added value to the company´s drugs whilst enhancing its´ image.
To continuously enhance the expertise of the Center Of Expertise (COE) Medical Devices through industry contacts, training and cross-fertilization.

Business Expertise
To review market demand for devices and review production situation.
To evaluate the cost and benefit of alternative solutions and provide recommendations.
To qualify business partners and support negotiating commercial terms for the development and supply of Medical Devices.

To manage project teams and relations with suppliers.

Problem Solving
To make technical recommendations based on detailed technical analysis to resolve development issues.

To ensure the timely development and supply of quality Medical Devices to support market needs.
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree
Experience: 5 years +

University degree in a Mechanical, Micro-Mechanical, Physics or Materials Engineering
Fluent in written & spoken English, French. German an asset.

Minimum 3-5 years experience with proven track record in the Medical Device industry as Project Manager in interdisciplinary teams.
Experience in development and production of Medical Devices.

Excellent organizational, leadership, communications and management skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and team spirited with the ability to diffuse conflict and motivate others.
Action-oriented and ability to direct multiple projects simultaneously.
Able to operate effectively under deadlines and may be subject to high workloads.
Passion, self-motivator and excellent professional attitude.
Excellent written, verbal and listening skills. Proficient in Microsoft
